As of 2026, custom homes in the Ottawa region typically range from $400 to $700+ per square foot, depending on finishes, lot conditions, energy performance and complexity. We provide a fixed-price quote after the design phase so you know your real number before signing.
How long does a custom home take to build?
Typical Ottawa custom homes take 10 to 14 months from contract signature to move-in — including 2 to 4 months for design and permits, and 8 to 10 months for construction.
Do I need my own architect, or can you handle design?
Either works. We can build from your architect’s drawings, partner you with our preferred local architects, or design in-house for most builds under 4,000 sq ft.
Do you build on rural lots with well and septic?
Yes. Rural builds across Manotick, Carleton Place, Almonte and the Ottawa Valley are a big part of our portfolio — including well, septic and rural-power coordination.
What is included in a fixed-price contract?
Everything from foundation to final paint and landscaping — except the lot itself, design fees if a third-party architect is used, and any city development charges. We list every inclusion and exclusion clearly before you sign.
Do you build to net-zero or energy-efficient standards?
Yes. ICF foundations, high-performance envelopes, air-source heat pumps, solar-ready electrical and EV-ready garages are increasingly standard on our custom builds.
